For future reference.
For those who would ever need it. -C
reblogging here because i can see this being relevant to anyone who’s ever tried to get out of an abusive relationship
This is, in fact, the most important post on the internet.
Every male should be required to read this.
IN PAIN READING THIS. REALLY GLAD I HAVE A DICK
I can totally relate, I thought I was the only one who vomits while that happens… That knife in the kitchen has caught my attention more than once while this happens… Sadly, I am still here…
This is soo true
This is so true except I don’t get cramps or vomit, I do get weird cravings though. I asked my mom to buy me cucumbers and ketchup so I could have myself a snack…
also i think u left out the part about a week before hand when you get all of that without the blood. I know people who suffer from week-long headaches before they get their period
FUCK EVERY SINGLE GUY WHO HAS EVER SAID ANYTHING RUDE OR DEGRADING TO ME WHEN I COMPLAIN ABOUT PERIODS. IT ACTUALLY SUCKS.
You forgot the part where the cramps are so bad that you end up on birth control at seventeen just so that you can manage the pain enough not to miss school and then go five years without realizing that the birth control has been subduing your libido. Then you spend another few years trying to find another birth control that has minimal side effects, keeping in mind that you are messing with your brain chemistry which causes multiple physical and mental issues ranging from skin break-outs to manic depressive mood swings.
Finally, you decide the birth control least detrimental to your health is a small device that it inserted directly into your body, called an IUD. You go through at least three gynecologists to find one that you like and will concede to inserting an IUD into a woman who has not had a child. You lay on a cold table, go through the massive pain and discomfort that comes from having foreign objects shoved into your body only to find that you really should have taken a muscle relaxer and a heavy pain killer first because you are out of commission for another three days.
All of this has been done strictly to manage monthly pain and you have to make several decisions regarding potential risks and side effects that could cause permanent damage. I haven’t even mentioned what happens when you have cysts on your ovaries.
So no, by all means, tell me I’m being dramatic.
